A Progressives spokeswoman says the party opposes unrestricted free trade. “The trade agreements we are involved in are rules-based, not unrestricted. For example, biosecurity requirements are vital for New Zealand,” she says.
A Progressives spokeswoman says the party supports New Zealand’s involvment. She says, “This was a United Nations-sponsored initiative. It was the issue that led to the formation of the Progressives and we remain opposed to the Taliban”.
A Progressives spokeswoman says this is “a high priority” for the party. “We'd support the adoption of international charters on good governance and related issues as the best method to eliminate extreme global poverty,” she says.
