The United Future Party on Employment
United Future says, "We are supportive of unions and workers right – particularly in negotiating flexible working hours and fair wages."
United Future supports raising the minimum wage to $15
United Future says its caucus has not considered a policy position on this at this stage. But when the Employment Relations (Probationary Employment) Amendment Bill was before the House in 2006, former United Future MP Gordon Copeland said parliament should make it easier for employers to take a risk on new employees by considering a probation period. United Future voted in favour of the bill, urging amendments in select committee.
As long as it is completely voluntary, United Future supports giving employees more choices.
