Troy Henry supports extending the time-period over which the Mayor and City Council develop the following year's City Budget

"My Administration will vastly improve the City budgeting process by working with the City Council on budget matters far in advance of budget deadlines set in the City Charter. We also have to set priorities for spending to ensure that the taxpayer dollars are spent on the City’s real needs — our spending should be data-driven and based on what the community has established as the City’s priorities, not based on politics. We’ve had a few planning processes to give us guidance on the community’s short-term priorities, and we’ll have to continue to engage residents to re-set some priorities on an annual basis."
